Anyone moving house today?

Been up since 03.30am. Couldn't sleep thinking I'd go too much to do. I haven't, we've been packing for weeks.

Dp and dc are all fast asleep (good). Dp went out to the local and got pissed last night (was his birthday yesterday) so he's gonna feel like shit today.

About to empty my tropical fishtank which I've been stressing about all week.
It's pitch black outside.

We start moving at 8am.

Anyone else moving today?

Good luck! Not quite the same but the Ukrainian family who’ve been living with us for nine months are moving today, into a rented house. They’ve been buying up furniture on FB Marketplace for the past month and storing it in our dining room and garage, so we’ll be helping them transport it all.

Hope the fish tank is ok. I remember moving house with a tank about 25 years ago and it was the worst thing! All the fish were fine though, if a little dazed.

Good luck! My partner is in the middle of moving in with me ... then next month we are moving into our dream home. Sooooooo much packing! All the best for today 🐟🐠🐡

We are moving. It's a protracted affair here. I'm nearly done with decluttering phase, just 1 cupboard to go, skip is full. Moving one fish tank today, the other 2 tomorrow (dreading this bit too), and shampooing carpets in new place today. New sofa is being delivered on Tuesday. Packers are coming on Wednesday, with everything planned to be moved on Thursday.

Good luck today!

Not moving but it was a year ago today that we got the keys to our current home. There was no power due to Storm Eunice and locally all sorts of awful things were going on. Was so pleased that we couldn’t physically move till the following week as it meant we had heat, light and cooking facilities (this house is all electric so there was nothing for the first 3 days of our tenancy!) at our old house,

A year on and, if we could afford to, I’d be moving again. Hate the house, hate the area and hate that I can’t actually afford to move anywhere else!
