Just a whinge.
I had a Google Pixel for years. The battery was getting knackered and DP very generously bought me a new phone for Christmas. It's a Samsung and I just cannot get on with it. I liked it in the shop because it was the right size (I can't handle the large phones) and the operating system was android so pretty familiar.
Every day there's a new niggle which irritates me. The keyboard. The search function. The alarm. The camera. The Bluetooth. The weather widget not updating unless you open it. The screen is so sensitive it jumps selling like crazy. Notifications not coming through consistently/correctly. Yes, I do try to Google solutions as things come up but it's very frustrating when you're used to stuff just working.
I've tried really hard to get on with it but it's been a couple of months and it's outside of the returns warranty so I am stuck with it. I wish I had told him not to do it and just saved up the money for a replacement myself. I think if I'd have bought it myself I would have admitted much sooner that I didn't like it and sent it back. As it is, I feel bad about wasting his money if I was to sell it on and buy a different phone.
