Have you changed your name?

How hard was it? Not just paperwork etc but getting people to use it like friends/colleagues etc
I've had enough of being called the masculine version of my name and I'm thinking of changing it totally so something that can only be pronounced/spelled one way! Just wonder if it would be seen as weird as I'm older Blush
Been thinking about it for a year or so now but haven't taken the plunge

I have two friends who changed their names , one to something totally different (Susan became Samantha!) and both said it was the best thing they ever did.

I changed mine by deed poll, it was very easy. I changed it a long time ago now, about 30 years ago I think! It was easier for me as I was already being called various names including the one I changed it to. I hated my name and am glad I changed it!

Not me but my husband. Swapped his first and middle names around and also changed his surname to his wife's and back after their divorce. He said it was an easy process but does have to keep his documents handy for long term paperwork (pensions etc)

My mum used her middle name and I did contemplate doing that but nobody can spell my middle name so that's out Grin

I don't have a complicated name (not typing for search reasons) think bond man Craig, female version, I'm just sick to death of constantly correcting people and being called the male version
