If you were going out for a boozy brunch what bag would you take?

Because I've just realised I've not really got a suitable one

I'm going tomorrow so no time to buy one but I've got a bit more freedom these days and have a few outings with friends/ dh planned so would like something decent but not spendy

I love a browse so I'm definitely also happy to look at your bags of choice that I'd never buy £££ wise!

I'm 44 and tend to wear DMs, a dress and a jacket. My work bag is a Radley back pack and I have a couple of aged cross body bags but nothing decent for going out out

None in case you lose it🙄

Cassie9032 · 17/02/2023 21:41

DM satchel?

BCBird · 17/02/2023 21:41

Seriously I have got out of the habit of using a handbag.

Same here. Phone and keys in pocket, what else do you need?

bag - whatever is handy. Usually khaki canvas satchel

Workyticket · 17/02/2023 21:48

My jacket choices are a blazer with no pockets or a denim jacket with tiny pockets 🙈

I'm on a bottomless brunch tomorrow actually, kids at grandparents for the weekend. Why the cats away the mice will play lol. I'm just wearing jeans a black top and a tote black bag and heels. Do my hair & make up nice to compensate the toned down look. It is mid morning after all. Have a good time girl! I think I'll be asleep by 2 lol xx

Workyticket · 17/02/2023 22:59

Enjoy @Seabreezeme - I can't wait for a lovely catch up and some inappropriately timed cocktails!

I would go for a new leather cross body style. & Other Stories have some nice ones.

PomRuns · 17/02/2023 23:06

What’s your budget?

you could get a good quality camera bag for £100 upwards (M&S have nice ones for £50 ish).

Look at Aspinsal (lovely bags in the sale for £100 -150), Pom Pom London (£100) or mulberry Lily (but they are £££).

Winnet · 17/02/2023 23:07

A bin bag with holes cut in for your head and arms to go through that you can wear as a kind of reverse poncho to stop the mess coming off you and going onto the taxi seat on your way home. And a sick bag, obviously.

The only bags you'll need.

Perry34 · 17/02/2023 23:10

Big enough for a packet of crisps or two to get me through 😂😂😂

Workyticket · 17/02/2023 23:12

@PomRuns definitely under £100. I'm terrible at spending money on myself and dither for ages feeling guilty!

Toast for breakfast, actual food at brunch - I'll be reet!

M and s have lovely ones for £59.
Aspinal really worth a look if you could stretch to 120-140.
am sure you deserve a treat !

Cassie9032 · 17/02/2023 23:25

Michael kors have an amazing sale on. £72 for one bag I seen reduced from about £300. Never thought I'd like that brand but did end up treating myself.
