Could DD catch the coldsore?

I have a coldsore outbreak on my upper lip. DD grabbed my chin and I immediately washed their hand.
Could they catch the coldsore virus from thus contact with my chin, with it being fairly close to the coldsore?

Unlikely, but likely from sharing towels or cutlery I think. I had them and gave them to DCs even though I was super careful

Yes they could. Good idea to wash their hand. Hopefully they won't catch it.

Thanks for replying. The more I think about it the less likely I think it is as she didn't touch the coldsore.
I hope I'm just being paranoid as a lifelong coldsore sufferer.
