I need to get out of my houseshare for a week for the sake of my MH!

Looking for somewhere affordable and quiet in the UK, but also safe and not super remote as I'll be travelling and staying alone. I have a car.

Any recommendations appreciated!

Ps. I'm looking to go in March.

Isle of Wight? Lots to do there and feels like a real get away because of the ferry.

Not hugely cheap in terms of the ferry but as March is off season the hotels should be cheaper.

I'd say you don't need to travel too far, as the main aim is to get away from home, even an hour or two would make a world of difference, and if you spent less on petrol, that would give you more money available for accommodation, food and drink and any activities.

So it would be helpful to say where you're starting from. No point people recommending Bournemouth if you currently live in Glasgow for example.

I think this is a good idea. I'm in South London.

Would just prefer not to go to Brighton or surrounding Sussex area as I have family there and know it well.

Liverpool and Chester area. Lots to do, especially if the weather is not great.

Edinburgh? Lake / Peak District? York?
