Microwave Combi Recommendations Please

It's not as simple as it sounds!

My Mum's looking for a microwave, oven, and grill combination with pull-out shelves for the oven feature just like a normal oven has. She's got arthritis in her hands and fears knocking a freestanding metal rack over.

She's already considering Panasonic, but can you recommend anything else?

Also, flatbed microwaves, where there's a slab rather than a turntable. Are there any disadvantages?

Thanks in advance!

I don't have a mw with pullout shelves but I love my Panasonic combi. It has a turntable, which I prefer. It was brilliant when my regular oven packed up.
I had a flatbed mw before that, and I had to keep turning things around to cook them evenly. Don't know if they are all like that though.

I had a feeling that the flatbed idea wasn't such a great one. Thank you, that's extremely helpful.

Sharp has a 40 liter model that has shelves on top of a turntable. Model number R-971INW. Just ordered one for my mum as a replacement for the predecessor model she'd been using for a decade. It's brilliant and gets used more than the normal oven. Combi mode works really well too. Not sure about availability in the UK - mum's in Germany and I had to order this from a Dutch supplier but combi mw aren't really a thing in Germany.

Thank you, that sounds ideal. I might need to brush up my language skills 😁, but if ordering abroad does the trick it'll be worth it.

Here it is. I tried ordering from their German subsidiary but they made a hash of delivery- some issue with DHL. Ended up ordering from Amazon Germany instead where it's currently unavailable. Might be a total mess ordering to the UK though since it's most definitely above customs thresholds. If you can't find it online in the UK maybe see if a local retailer will order for you?

Hah. Just played with my Amazon order info and lo and behold, it's listed for Amazon UK as well, although also unavailable atm. (Trick with Amazon is just changing out country code in the URL and the rest is often the same.)
