ABBA Voyage - restaurants nearby, any recommendations?

My friend and I are going next month - don't want to fork out £99 each for the Oceanbird Lounge at the venue, and the other options seem to be hotdogs, sandwiches etc.

Has anyone been and can recommend a decent restaurant nearby to eat before the concert? Thanks Smile

We eat up in local town, but main hub of restaurants hard to find, and very busy. We chose a Mexican style restaurant and it was like a cattle market, we'd eaten, paid and gone to toilet within 40mins and next lot were lined up behind DH clearly waiting for our table.

I didn't realise they did what I'd term street food/bites to buy in venue , there was some seating for that - but most were stood at high tables. We both agreed we'd have eaten at the venue if we'd known. Can't remember the prices, but cheaper than our meal out, which was very expensive for what is was (Mexican themed burger only, no salad or chips for £17)

There's very little nearby. We had drinks in the hotel opposite, but they didn't do food. As pp said, there's Street food, think it was only one thing that sold burgers etc, we had hot dogs at the venue which were like rubber and cost £9 😕 Eat somewhere else before you go, we would have if we'd known.

Just eat in Westfield before getting the dlr. fast food food court on the ground floor which is hard to get a seat and rushed/busy. All the usual restaurant chains as well as a nicer food court upstairs. When we went we ate lunch and dinner there and had no problems.

Thank you everyone.

I've also looked at the thread mentioned above - think we'll eat a big late lunch then just get a drink and a snack at the venue.

Angel of Bow is nearby, great spot for food, a solid craft beer selection, and they even have B&B rooms if you’re looking to stay over. Worth checking out!
