Just that really. Only just discovered have a food warehouse nearby. Have just used lots from freezer so I can defrost it. So want to do a shop.

Not inc meat as I get that elsewhere.

I find their pizzas good if you have kids, I grate more cheese on them or add other toppings that I know they'll eat. So they are a good "base" and low priced.

We always buy their big bag of frozen Swedish meatballs, they are not Iceland branded. they are really handy for a pasta meatball dinner on a weekday.

I love their cheesy.chicken nuggets for the days I want to eat like a 10 year old ! I find all their chicken nuggets / chicken breaded steaks quite nice

Hoisin / pakora chicken strips, Garlic, ginger, lazy mash, salt and vinegar fish strips, slimming World meals are nice, pizzas, hash brown fries, the posh sausages which are gluten free.

Iceland can be really unpredictable in what they have in stock from one week to the next (I shop online), but their frozen fruit is brilliant as a back up for puddings, smoothies, snacks etc. DD can demolish a 500g bag of pomegranate seeds in under an hour, and my mum swears by the bags of pre-sliced frozen lime slices for G&Ts.
Their vegetarian range is pretty good, as are the Greggs bake at home stuff. I buy tons of the frozen pastry packs too because it's a handy thing to have lurking in the freezer.
My local one has a great deli selection from the fresh food section, and they also sell the BEST aioli (yellow tub).
I love my Iceland deliveries - the drivers are always lovely, never late, and they always email you at least an hour before delivery in case they're out of stock on something, or give you things for free if they're short dated. They also send you money off vouchers to apologise if they mess up.
It's not all prawn rings & scampi - although there is a fair bit of that. Their mini macarons are divine!

I buy a lot of microwave meals. I like the Piccolino Italian range. The Spaghetti carbonara is really nice and creamy. The Cathedral City Mac and Cheese is good too.
They do fish strips in various flavours which are yummy. We had some frozen chips recently which were BBQ flavour - they were nice.
My daughter likes their pulled pork (the fresh one - not frozen) and a chicken stuffed with stuffing thing went down well with her.

Needmorelego · 15/02/2023 21:57

Oh and their ice cream range is always fantastic. I love the Bassett range - Flump ice-cream, Fruit Salad chews flavour lollies etc.
We always get their version of Magnums - Majestic they are called.

Buzzer3555 · 15/02/2023 22:14

The frozen salmon and haddock are great .

Papergirl1968 · 15/02/2023 22:34

Iceland Millionaires cheesecake is incredible!
I also like Birds Eye quarter pounder chicken burgers and they were on offer when I ordered from Iceland the other day.
Iceland bread, bread rolls and oven chips are fine, and I like the scampi bites, Youngs, I think, which are cheaper and smaller than normal scamp but taste fine. Iceland often do good deals on packs of branded cod and microwave veg too.

Whycanineverever · 15/02/2023 22:47

Pakora chicken strips. Southern fried boneless chicken thighs. The Swedish meatballs.

Turkey burgers if you are feeling a bit retro.

Singleandproud · 15/02/2023 23:03

Their ice cream range is fabulous.

DD likes the Chiquito range.

snowlady4 · 15/02/2023 23:10

Former Iceland snob here- now a huge fan!
I like their woodfired pizzas and any of their chicken strips. They do a cheese rosti type thing which is lovely. Partner raves about their big daddy steaks- I'm not a steak fan but they are tasty and fantastic value.
All of their frozen fruit/veg/ice lollys are great.
It's a really underrated shop imo. Although their non frozen stuff, tins etc I do find expensive compared to other supermarkets.

gaggiagirl · 15/02/2023 23:11

Chicken skewers are great they come in many different flavours.
Lots of thee breaded or battered chicken products are good.
Cheese filled hash browns are delicious.
All the hash brown related goods are beautiful.

Leeds3 · 16/02/2023 08:16

Cook from frozen seafood, e.g clams in tomato sauce, mixed seafood packs.
Make a quick dinner with some pasta.

FavouriteSlippers · 16/02/2023 08:32

Thank you. Have written the ideas down. Especially chicken things.
The only seafood we eat is cod or haddock i but will try the strips.
I like the idea of some ready meals too as the teen often wants to grab something later.
Woodfired pizzas sound good. We have a weekly pizza night when we only hqve a 45min gap between clubs. So that's a definite

Ice cream and lollies all noted.

Thanks

I like the slimming world range
their chips and sauces (in the freezer section)

ChangesUsername · 16/02/2023 08:39

Try their luxury ready meals @FavouriteSlippers they are superb
Better than waitrose as they don't pack them with garlic for flavour

Perry34 · 16/02/2023 08:40

The greggs range. 😂

Trying81 · 16/02/2023 08:43

Chiquito halloumi cubes are great - as are the peri peri fries

Their own brand Vienna ice creams are like mini vienettas and great for slimming world / weightwatchers as low in syns / points

It’s not just good for freezer items - we always get crates of pop cans at Xmas from there and they’re often cheaper on branded fridge items like cheese and yogurts

NorthernSoul55 · 16/02/2023 09:09

Frozen spinach and bags of baby corn, Carrots and mange tout.
Chicken skewers, especially the salt and chilli flavour.

Ariela · 16/02/2023 09:20

The ice creams are fabulous. Just discovered Bassets Sherbet Foauntain - lemon ice over lemon ice cream, with a real liquorice pole as a stick! Was 50p for a box of 4 last week.

Also, if you can go on a Tuesday and take an over-60s person to shop with age ID (and pay them back later), the over 60s get 10% off.
I like all their frozen veg, we like the beer batter Youngs cod, and the haddock pieces, almost never buy takeaway fish and chips now. Ditto woodfired pizza. They do bargains on randoms like ketchup every now and then too, but will agree non-frozen staples can be pricey.
