French/English exchange visit 16 yr old

I have a sort of pen pal on HelloTalk which is an App that I use for practising my French. This lady's 16 yr old daughter wants to improve her English and her mum has asked me if I know of any exchange organisations or summer camps. Unfortunately I dont have a clue about that - my own kids are grownups and don't speak French anyway.

Can anyone recommend anywhere that I could suggest to my friend ? I have googled but would also like some personal recommendations / input if possible.

If she is doing advanced English at school surely her teachers would be the first people to ask about the possibility of exchanges, study trips etc.

Lingoo is a website that links people up for exchanges. My kids and my sister's kids have both used it, and it's all worked out very well. One French kid we know has gone to PGL camps in the UK, but he did have exceptionally good English - wouldn't recommend for less fluent speakers, and I'm not sure if 16 is too old for that.

Your pen pal is hoping you will invite her daughter to stay with you. Grin

It might be fun. And you might be invited back!

I missed out on my school's official French exchange holiday because of a clash with a musical commitment so my parents organised a different opportunity independently. lots of companies offer this

Haha I'm not inviting her!
Yes I wonder why her school can't help - I've asked her.
