Virus with fever and stomach pains, no v/d

Anyone have this?

Started yesterday with chills and body aches, temp was 38.3. Then nausea and stomach pains started. No vomiting or diarrhoea, just the nausea and pain (feels like period pain sometimes or even contractions when bad). I have no interest in eating.

Is this a thing? Kids have had the usual nursery colds but no fevers. DS4 said yesterday his tummy hurt for a few minutes and DD1 has maybe had slightly loose poo the last few days. Both are eating fine and acting normal. DH is fine.

I literally just went back to work after maternity leave! I luckily have off today. How long did this last for everyone?

DS has Covid with horrible tummy pains at the moment. Latest version seems to be more aches and pains than coughs

Hello I have just been googling these symptoms and I literally could have wrote this post! How did you get on with this bug? Did it last long? I feel like crap and have 2 kids under 2 to look after 😥

I was just trying to remember what happened! Pretty sure I ended up with terrible diarrhoea the day after I posted this. I think DH and DS4 were fine but DD1 had some diarrhoea too. No vomiting though! I never ended up doing a Covid test...I didn't want to know. I think once I had the diarrhoea for a day I felt better. I took Immodium. Hope you feel better soon!

Yes just had exactly this...sudden aches and shakes , very internally cold with shivers , a bit of tummy ache but no d and v , needed to sleep lots..lasted a couple of days.

Thanks so much for your messages, I was completely knocked back with this bug, slept for a whole day, luckily it was bank holiday and my DH could look after the kids. I didn’t feel right for about a week after. My 2 year has it now but but only randomly vomits once every couple of days then is running around fine 🤔there are some very strange bugs about these days!

I just got over this. I couldn't walk around the house due to the pain. It did eventually end up with being unable to move off the toilet for 4 hours. Took about 24 hours from first symptoms then was gone about 24 hours later.

I ended up having to get some diorahydrate through deliveroo from boots and it sorted me right out.
