Alternative to Oodie that is acceptable on video call?

I've started a new job and I love it. I WFH sometimes and do some online meetings.

Today I just had an additional blanket over my knees but I was pondering an Oodie. Would I look like I'm in pyjamas though? Im looking at the cheap/fake ones so not a massive investment but is there an alternative that I'm missing?

Also aware that temperatures are on the rise (thank goodness)

Maybe I need to invest in good thermals actually.

Lots of workplaces!

Internal they all know me well enough, external I won't put the camera on! Thankfully no one has said anything yet!

Just to confirm I absolutely cannot wear an actual Oodie for client facing calls (think counsellor).

I've bought the fake Oodie for wfh then the fleece lined blazer from lands end which is the clothing I didn't know about for client facing video calls.

Problem solved for me. Thanks all!

I've got the one below and it's not too offensive

This dressing gown looks like a fleece I have three now. But if I needed to look smarter then a scarf artfully arranged I think

I prefer thermals under normal work tops. They can be really warm once layered. Uniqlo do good ones.

If I have a small meeting or a 1-1 with another dept or someone external, it would be considered rude to keep my camera off. I guess every work culture is different, but I’ve had it a couple of times the other way (my camera on, theirs is off) and I find it really uncomfortable and hard work.

I rarely put mine on for external meetings. They wouldn't have known what I look like before Teams so they don't need to know now (my customers are overseas so we wouldn't have met face to face)! I suppose it's different if people actually met their customers. I did have one customer who insisted on my putting on my camera and it made me feel very uncomfortable.

For internal calls they can take me as I come!
