Anyone know about leather?

Not a kink question!

I have an old Radley bag. It’s brown and it’s now very faded on one side and scratched on the other.
I would like to do something to make it reusable again. I can see there are all sorts of dyes on Amazon, I just want to get the right one.

Its a mid brown bag but I don’t mind if it came out darker!

I’d start with leather restoration cream. It will feed the leather, disguise the scratches and might even out the tone. I regularly use it on my leather handbags to keep them in good condition.

Thanks. The fading is very noticeable though.

The cream might darken it. You could try brown shoe polish, the sort in a tin. Make sure it’s well rubbed in so there’s no residue.

Get some Urad leather cleaner. It will transform it.

Oh it's beautiful

Shoe polish?

Saddle soap will clean and restore the leather then you can die it or use a coloured leather polish

Dye not die🤦‍♀️

Worth a read round first. Leather is a natural product. Prob needs feeding somehow. I have a Bill amberg bag and they recommend not treating the leather. A specialist might advise more. There will be one. Shoe polish isn't suitable. Some sort of cream from Saphir might work.
