My DD, 12, is seriously suffering, and I need to go and stock up at the pharmacy. Her eyes are red and sore around them from rubbing and get very itchy. She takes daily antihistamine as well. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Otrivine Antistin eye drops: lloydspharmacy.com/products/otrivine-antistin-eye-drops-10ml?gclid=CjwKCAiA_6yfBhBNEiwAkmXy51lOJ1M587PCuWl8q33U4ozDfAQF7SkPCzzoQaqB9eHllt5rwJXbihoCztAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Years ago I went into the pharmacy with gunky red sore eyes. Asked pharmacist what she'd recommend. She gave me these and said "they'll sting like a bastard when you first put them in and you'll hate me. But when the relief comes a minute later you'll love me forever!". She was absolutely right Grin

Eye drops.
Wash hair daily if you can. Clean clothes daily. Pollen sticks to hair and clothes.
Keep windows closed.

I was wondering whether the balms were any good, but maybe not.

I think of it as a two pronged process - keep as much pollen out as you can and then douse with antihistamines. Balms might be worth a try if you don't want to go straight to medication, but the itch is intense and hard to ignore.

I have this and have to take Fexofenadine 120mg each day as well as prescribed antihistamines because the bought ones don't work. I also can't wear makeup and have to wash my face with hypoallergenic facial wash (Cerave). The regular products cause a reaction. Check what facial products she's using.
