does anyone know about SSP?

My gp wants to sign me off work for a few weeks. I'm trying to figure out if I would get statutory sick pay. I'm on a zero hours contract. I do earn over the £123 per week that google tells me I need to be eligible but I don't work every week. Does anyone know if I would be eligible to claim SSP?

are your average earnings over £123 a week? For example Over the last 52 weeks

If I average it over 52 weeks then I think it drops below £100

It is averaged over the last 8 weeks.

Ok it looks like I won't be eligible, thanks for the replies, I didn't want to ask work and risk them not giving me any shifts
