How easy is it to get from Birmingham New Street to Birmingham Coach Station in Digbeth please? Are there taxis? How long does it take? That kind of thing. TIA.

Hi, it's walking distance about 10-12 minutes
you could use google maps to plot route
but if you have luggage you can get a taxi from the station

I do have luggage, thanks for that! Trying to decide if getting in at 3.30pm is early enough for a 4pm coach - probably not.

For walking, I think that's tight if you have luggage and are not familiar with the route.

It’s a 10 minute walk at most.
If you want to get a taxi then don’t leave by the main front entrance, the rank is on Navigation St which is sort of at the rear of the station.

Thanks all, really helpful

I'd say it is, but walk quickly. Depends if you want to pressure yourself! There's a Starbucks in the coach station, but the toilets cost, so have cash!

I wouldn't get a taxi, but follow Google maps. I did it easily in summer for the commonwealth games.

It also surprised me how late they let you on to the coaches - literally started loading about two mins before due to leave, it wasn't like a train.

I’m with my 17 ds and would prefer to sit together for a 3 hour journey but you can’t book seats so probably need to err on the side of caution with time. If I was in my own, I’d probably just leg it 😀

@Maximo2 I'd definitely book a later one then! Getting the coach was a lot more pleasant than I anticipated tbh!

10 mins through the bullring shopping centre.
