A relative has very kindly given us £200 to spend on the children. They are 6 and 4, a girl and boy, and I'd like to get something that they can both use and enjoy. We already have a reasonable amount of garden equipment for them (trampoline, triple swing, playhouse) and no room for any more. What would you buy?

These, plus the best children’s encyclopaedias you can find. Use any remaining money for museum / gallery / orchestral concert trips.

Sorry but I'm howling at the above suggestion.

Err does it have to be an actual item? If so, I'd probably get a lovely indoor teepee and a scalectrix!

Annual pass for something - Merlin, National Trust, a local attraction?

Scooters? (If they don't already have them)

Yeah - I didn't want to be the first to say that 😂. I would go for an annual pass as a previous poster said or, and I know you said you haven't got room for more garden stuff, a basketball net. Ours goes flush to our trampoline and has been used loads in conjunction with that.

Another vote for annual pass.

LadyJ2023 · 13/02/2023 21:06

I would take them away for a couple of days

Thanks all. DH thinks Legoland passes but that means spending about another 300 to get the gold ones for all of us!

A weekend away and a couple of days at Paultons Park. The best!

To go alongside a pass or whatever, what about a few months of Toucan letterbox kits?
