Tracy Chapman; are there any current women singers like her?

I went down a rabbit hole today watching Tracy Chapman videos today for some reason. She was great. So natural and such an amazing singer who didn't need to scream "look at me" for attention.

Admittedly, I am old and out of touch. But are there any current women singers like her, who have great voices, are not overtly sexual and do not perform in their underwear?

I love Angie Stone.

I was lucky enough to see her live a few years ago. She’s amazing.

Tracy Chapman and Angie Stone are longtime favourites of mine. I’m nearly 51 and they both, as well as other amazing artists, feel like true travelling companions. I had an Angie Stone ear worm stuck in my head when I was giving birth to DC1. 😆

LP - start off with Lost on You and Fighting With Myself, 2 of her biggest hits, and then check out her other stuff. Her voice on some tracks can take a bit of getting used to but stick with it!

Try Judie Tzuke. Incredible voice and great songs.(and always fully clothed).
