Restaurant recommendations - Wembley

Hopefully Chat is an OK topic to put this in.

We're doing a Wembley Stadium tour in a couple of months time for DH's birthday. I've booked the Global Buffet for dinner afterwards but I've just looked at some online reviews and they are mostly really bad. I've never seen so many 1* ratings. 😣

I booked it because we watched the documentary on it a while back and it looked good. It's also pretty expensive at £25 per person even for my 12 year old because they're just ober 150cm tall, even though they'll probably only eat a slice of pizza and a chicken nugget. They do like seafood and sushi though which the buffet does do. I don't mind paying that much but only if it's good.

Has anyone been to the Global Buffet recently and can give an honest opinion. Is it worth it?

Is there anywhere else near the stadium that would be better? Something a bit different and a bit special ideally but OK for kids as well as adults.

It's a non event day so there shouldn't be hoards of people trying to eat.

Thank you.

I mean. I love it. I don't think the food is bad quality for buffet food. Probably the best I've been to as usually buffet food is shit... busier days are better (so evenings and weekends) as the food is fresh. Desserts are generally good. The cake is never dry. Fresh fruit, jelly, profiteroles. The dumpling station is sublime, as is the sushi station. Watford one is better though as way more options, its bloody huge - although that doesn't help you!

You'll be pretty near to the Designer Outlet Village which has restaurants on the upper floor.

Thanks both. I'm glad you enjoy it IWineAndDontDine.

I'll stick with my buffet booking. Looking at photos on line the seafood and sushi section looks nice. My kids will happily eat that and 100 or so desserts.

We will be close to the Outlet Village ouch321. I know there's a good selection of restaurants there as we've eaten in there before events previously. I just wanted something a bit different to Pizza Express, Nandos etc. They are always back up options though incase I change my mind. Thanks.

What about Box Park op? Street food traders, bit more interesting than the chain places. I can't think of anywhere particularly fancy or celebratory tbh but I'd go box park over the buffet.
