Brighton help

Hi, as my username suggests I'm visiting Brighton for the 1st time this Fri for 2 nights, would anyone have any recommendations on where to stay please? Want to be central enough, near to the Lanes and the beach, I'm not a great walker!

Also if we get the bus from Gatwick Airport where does it stop in Brighton please? Would it stop at the train station?

Thanks very much

If you end up staying at the MyHotel there is an excellent Indian restaurant called Chilli Pickle below it, which is highly recommended.

You might have to take what you can get at this short notice for accommodation. Just cross reference with Trip Advisor and you'll be fine. So many good places to eat in Brighton but here are some favourites:

Flint House
Kindling
Burnt Orange
Petit Pois
Easy Tiger
Riddle and Finns

Hotel du Vin is lovely for some afternoon drinking and respite from the crowds.

Just buy your ticket at the station. It won't be any cheaper online and Trainline charge admin fees. Even if you did miss a train, they're very frequent on that line.

Look out for the lovely scenery north of Haywards Heath.

Just came back to say thank you so much everyone for your help, so kind!

So easy to get to, got train from Gatwick Airport, 40 mins to Brighton and then taxi right outside the train station to our hotel.

We ended up staying at The Hilton, highly recommend it, lovely hotel. We visited the Royal Pavilions and did some shopping in The Lanes. Spent time at the beach too. Best part of the trip was the Upside Down House, very strange experience but great fun!

Will be back for sure, lots more to do 😊
