Will they be able to prescribe do you know?

I emailed GPs about needing some meds for nerve pain and have seen this online.

Is this a pharmacist who works in a practice? If so then some can prescribe. We have 2 who can do that.

Orangesandlemons77 · 13/02/2023 14:23

Yes it is. Have not had this before.

OK, I'll see how it goes. I'm on a numbder of meds so hope it goes OK.

Yes they may also do a full review with you to see if there is a better alternative medication for you to be on

Orangesandlemons77 · 13/02/2023 14:32

Ok

I've spoken to the pharmacist in our practice a few times and they're ok but always had to run any medication decisions past a GP first so it could take a couple of days to get the prescription. They were always thorough and v helpful but didn't have the autonomy to immediately prescribe

Orangesandlemons77 · 13/02/2023 16:10

So, the GP told the pharmacist to ring with a couple of options, seemed to work quite well.

It's gone straight to the pharmacy. They have got very efficient recently.
