DM’s birthday

It’s my DM’s 60th birthday today and I’m worrying she’s going to be so disappointed. I’ve ordered her a big bunch of flowers and I’m taking her for breakfast today, then tomorrow taking her for afternoon tea in London and to the Shard as she’s always wanted to go.

I haven’t got her any presents because there’s nothing she wanted when I asked her and she buys most things she wants herself. Is she going to be disappointed do you think? Have I done enough? I’m worried she’s going to feel really disappointed but I think a day out is much better than buying her random stuff she might not want?

Would you be disappointed if it was you for a big birthday?

It sounds like a lovely birthday and your mum will be delighted. If you feel that you need to buy her a present, maybe she could choose something when you're in London. Have a lovely day! 🙂

Sounds lovely. I would be thrilled if my daughter arranged this for me. It all shows so much thought and you have gone to a lot of trouble.
