Coral reef Bracknell is a good shout, there’s a small hands on science place set in a forest on the same road. There’s a bike trail around the woods, but it’s quite hard core from memory.
your also on the doorstep of Windsor so castle stuff as well as lego land.

If you're looking for water park then Splashdown in Poole is ideal.

It's in one of those leisure parks so loads to do and plenty of places to eat and stay.

It looks like an ok local attraction and I'd bet they'd pass several others like it or better to get to Dorset.

@Puddywoodycat the park isn't open til March I'm afraid . But there are plenty of other things near by - Trentham Gardens is lovely , the monkey Forest next door is great too .

How about booking a hotel near this in Coventry?

Ah that's ok I thought you were looking at February, if your dc is a thrill seeker then yes to a day at the park . It's my 9 year olds favourite place , he is literally on countdown until opening day !

Alton Towers is basically Stoke on Trent - will you have a car? If so Cannock Chase has lots of outdoor stuff. A Gruffalo statue trail, mountain bike trails.

Go Ape

There's a dry ski slope in Stoke as well.

Coral Reef in Bracknell is great. There lots of hotels nearby you could stay at. It's also very close to Lego Land & Windsor.

I love the monkey forest!

I found it fairly grotty when we went
