Car bumper (?) damage

I’ve just noticed some damage to my car. It’s the strip along the length of the side of the car, below the doors. Is this called the bumper (I know nothing about cars 🙈)? Who do I get to sort this out? Is it a general garage or somewhere like a body shop? It’s broken so will need replacing. TIA

This is a bodyshop job, should be relatively simple to fix if there's no further damage hiding underneath

Thanks so much. I’m so clueless about cars despite having had one for years!

It could just be a plastic cover cill/sill (both spellings are correct), in which case it's probably a simple job for the garage to stick it back on. If it's metal it'll need a bit more work but still easily sorted. It needs checking soon though, as if there's further damage behind it could start rusting so would need sorting quickly.

Worth asking friends / neighbours / colleagues if they know of a good body shop that does a good job, sometimes it costs a bit more for a good job doing but it's worth it in the long run.

Looks like a plastic sill cover/side skirt. If it’s just that that’s damaged it’ll be an easy fix

Check for damage to the door as it looks like it was hit about half way along the door to cause the end to pop.

Thanks everyone, this is really useful.
