Sorry you probably won't want to hear this but my family are at the game and I'm enjoying the peace 😃

Veryfishy · 11/02/2023 17:11

I’m sick of it too
Problem made worse by the fact that I live in Wales , and everyone else is obsessed with it

MeinKraft · 11/02/2023 17:12

No. He's at the golf club and I don't have any wine! Sadly.

Suzi888 · 11/02/2023 17:12

DH is in the man cave. DD is with him. I’m having a G&T in the bath…. Veg chilli for dinner.

Luckily he hates Football, what an excellent idea, I might have a bath as I don't think I've shaved my legs since 10th December (xmas do - dress)!!!!

I am wine's in the fridge

beautifulpaintings · 11/02/2023 18:14

Emigrated, so it isn't even on our TV 😄

allmycats · 11/02/2023 18:17

I am loving it, really like rugby

lenalemonade · 11/02/2023 19:27

Mine is out playing snooker and I have had a great sport free afternoon Smile.Watched Downton Abbey film ,eating some gorgeous chocolates I bought for myself and am now about to have a cheeky Prosecco

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 11/02/2023 19:37

I initially read the title as being bored of rugby, and simultaneously being bored of drinking wine in the kitchen.

Luckily no one in my house is interested in sport, but I empathise and think you've made the only sensible choice 🍷

Wash your mouth out with soap

Davros · 11/02/2023 20:10

I love rugby, football and cricket. I'm happy. It isn't a case of "he" watches it, I do

MichelleScarn · 11/02/2023 20:15

Have had a great time watching the game!! Screamed ourselves hoarse! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏉
Loved seeing all the unity across Wales and Scotland re Doddie Cup and also things like the group of Welsh police who cycled from Wales to Murrayfield to raise money for the MND Foundation.

Veryfishy · 11/02/2023 22:39

@MichelleScarn it was teams of cyclists from all of the U.K. who cycled 555 miles for Doddie aid , carrying the rugby ball on the back of one of the bikes
i don’t even like rugby , but we watched the cyclists when they went near us on Thursday ( wearing our Doddie aid snoods )

BreviloquentBastard · 11/02/2023 22:42

Very glad my DH has absolutely zero interest in any Sportsball so I don't have to deal with it being on all the time. Have enough listening to the men in the office bloviate about it all day every day.

Tattytaylor · 11/02/2023 22:44

Yes 🙋‍♀️ I find constant sport as tedious AF. My stepfather forced fed us constant football on TV when we were kids so I should never have married a sports fan as I grew so sick of it🤦‍♀️

I actually put 99% noise cancelling ear plugs in to drown DH and the TV out if I can't be arsed to move from the sofa 😅

elp30 · 12/02/2023 11:23

@girlmeetsboy

I am not in the UK so I've escaped rugby on tv. I do feel your pain as I'm constantly being informed about "League is better than Union" (husband is from Greater Manchester) and my American city is looking to form their own MLR team 😖

It could be worse, it's the "Super Bowl" in the US today. It's all people have been talking about all week and will be talked about for the next few days. At least rugby is an exciting game; American football is too long and dull.

Stuffynosetime · 12/02/2023 11:25

I love the rugby but thought yesterdays matches were a bit slow.

girlmeetsboy · 12/02/2023 11:55

I must admit that I have been to Twickenham and bath with DH to watch it but I was knackered after working yesterday morning so 2 matches was a bit too much when I really fancied watching a place in the sun! England today though so I will show a bit more enthusiasm (i saw a few people walking to the station this morning in their shirts - we are in Kent so obviously going to Twickenham)

I live in my own, so no sport of any kind ever darkens my TV. It's bloody fabulous!

My 'gentleman caller' 😂 knows the deal. If he wants to watch sport, he can do it at his house.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 12/02/2023 12:28

FFS *on my own

LlynTegid · 12/02/2023 12:30

I was not bored with it, just fed up that Wales have lost badly again.

Only three more weekends, OP.
