New smart meter frustrations

I'm new to a smart meter. Did anyone have issues with top ups taking ages to show on the screen?

It’s stuck on a figure - £9.77 at the moment. We tell them about it and nothing happens, then all of a sudden it changes. It was 77p for a while.
