Anyone used PandaBuy?

14 yo DS wants some clothes for his birthday that he's seen on this site but I don't understand how it works in terms of shipping costs

Hi! PandaBuy is essentially a middleman who buys stuff for you from China. For example, if you saw this thing you wanted on TaoBao (Chinese Amazon), you could use them to ship it to you, as TaoBao themselves don't offer shipping to Europe. The deals on there are really good - I get clothes off there mainly however I've also used Pandabuy to help me get appliances such as microwaves, portable ovens and Chinese food. It's generally MUCH cheaper than the UK (4-5X cheaper) however if he is buying fake clothes, you need to beware of customs so I'd recommend buying insurance for the package (around £3). Customer service is good and they speak decent English - I've never had issues. However be aware that if you buy a lot, shipping can be expensive. Rates usually for for around £10-£20 per KG.

Also, there are quite a lot of tutorials on Youtube and on websites which makes it really easy to use. Ask me about anything, I lived in China for 3 years! :)

All the prices on TaoBao and Pandabuy are in RMB/CNY (Chinese currency) by the way.

I use Wegobuy and have just received a new parcel today. 2 pairs of trainers, a bag and some socks. This is probably about my 15th parcel for handbags, shoes, trainers and clothing. As long as you buy from good sellers and get pictures when the items have been shipped to the warehouse it’s fine.

it depends if it gets opened at customs but I never have. You need to declare a value which I normally put at a 15.

Son ordered trainers. Took around 14 days & £14 shipping costs. He's very happy. They look good. He's keen to order more from there.
