Minor "car accident"

Hi,
I was reversing and reversed into the back of someones car. I was going at less than 5mph and there was no damage to either car. I spoke to the owner of the car and he came to check his car (he was in the shop at the time) and he told me that the damage on his was already there and not to worry about it.

I've generally got very bad anxiety so I've been frazzled all day and have been having heart palpitations since then. Do I still need to report it to my insurance? I've already made a claim within the last 6 months and I'm worried that having another claim will stop me getting insurance. My car is fine, not a scratch on it and it is driving as usual, no leaks or anything

No, you don't need to do anything.

Have a cup of tea and forget about it.

I once had this and there was no damage and they called the police! The police wouldn't come out and told us to exchange details. My insurance company asked me to send pics so I did. Never heard anymore.

@Chewbecca Thank you, I've been told the same by someone else 😅

Did your insurance go up? I'm a new driver and as I've already made a claim (at fault) I'm anxious about my renewal quote
