Pick My Postcode - Has anyone ever won?

redglobox · 10/02/2023 15:06

I know it is ridiculous but I have been playing this free postcode lottery, Pick My Postcode, for something like 10 years now and have never won anything. My bonus is nearly £50. I keep playing because I want to at least win something before I stop! Looking at the bonus draws, I must be one of only 18,862 who have been so lucky and yet so persistent. I'm hoping they introduce a £50 bonus draw because surely there must be very few people who would be eligible for that and then surely I would win something! I know...

Does anyone else play/has anyone else played in the past and won anything?

I've been doing it for years as well and not won anything! Think my bonus is around £75. Before my mum died her postcode came up and she hadn't been doing it long

mouse26 · 10/02/2023 17:15

I won £10 a few years ago plus my bonus, it think I got just over £40.

MeganLogan · 10/02/2023 17:32

Yes I have. I also do makemoneywithoutajob.com daily draw and I did all the ones that have closed - Number Plate Lottery, Ashleigh Money Saver etc. got to be in it to win it

triggersslave · 10/02/2023 17:34

Same, played for years, not a sausage. I do wonder how many postcodes there are in Britain! Because mines never come up, but I guess some must have come up more than once!

redglobox · 10/02/2023 21:54

Sometimes I think there must have been a mistake and my postcode isn't actually in the draw!

£75 babycham!! I thought my £50 was bad. They need to introduce a £75 bonus draw for you 😂

I have £25 bonus. I've been playing for about 4 years and haven't won.

I was looking through old emails the other day and saw that they used to give more money away.

The main draw was at least a £1000 and often more.

ILoveYourLittleHat · 10/02/2023 22:23

Been playing for a few years and won £10 on the stackpot recently plus about £15 bonus. There are THOUSANDS of postcodes so obviously the chances are minuscule. And if you don't log in regularly your postcode might not be entered.

starlingsintheslipstream · 10/02/2023 22:34

I won a flash fiver once. (Think that's what it's called).

DiamondApricot · 10/02/2023 23:08

My current bonus is £90.38, still waiting to win. I saw my work postcode come up once, that was a bit galling!

Clevs · 10/02/2023 23:16

I've been playing it a few years and haven't won anything. But one postcode in my old village has won the Stackpot twice. It was only claimed because I posted about it in the village Facebook group. And the same person claimed it both times.

Pemba · 10/02/2023 23:20

I've been doing it a few years now, I did win once in 2020, £45 (about £20 of that was bonus).

So I have faith my postcode will come up again one day! I check most days, only takes a couple of minutes.

redglobox · 03/05/2024 21:57

OP here, May 2024, still playing, still haven't won anything 😂 FFS! I'll come back next year with another update on how much nothing I've won.

ILoveChocolateandCoffee · 03/05/2024 22:09

I won approx £150 on it. Would have been more but afew of us claimed it.

Ilovemyshed · 03/05/2024 22:23

Won about £600 about 7 years ago ! Purely chance that I'd signed up and forgotten then someone posted on local social media and I nipped on and claimed.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 03/05/2024 22:30

I play, apparently there are 1.8 million postcodes in the uk. I feel the chances aren't great really.

thingsineverthoughtidsay · 03/05/2024 22:35

I’m on £89 bonus, but never won. I feel my day must come soon…

BrendaSmall · 03/05/2024 22:37

If this is the free one then no I’ve not won, if it’s the postcode lottery then yes I’m always winning £10!

hangsangwitch · 03/05/2024 22:52

My neighbour won £10k a few years ago. Her husband had just left her with two kids and she was in real financial trouble so that was brilliant. Apparently whoever had the full postcode in the next street won over 100k. I haven’t bothered joining now as the chances of mine coming must be about nil.

cheesychipsontheoche · 03/05/2024 22:59

Yep. Won one of the bonus draws a couple of years back. My bonus was about 60 at the time so nice money for free.

How can you possibly win £10k on pick my postcode?! The max prize I've seen is £800!

OP - no I've never won..... yet! Still check every day though as it cost nothing. Thanks Chris for the emails!

Mademetoxic · 03/05/2024 23:24

Just checked my street and the surrounding areas. Mine has yet to come up, streets around me have won £10 several years ago.

novocaine4thesoul · 03/05/2024 23:37

I have just today unsubscribed to this (the free one where emails start Chris, pick my postcode not the people's postcode where you pay). Have done it for years and now have enough in my pot to enter the £5 and £10 draws. Completely understand the model, and get it (takes only a couple of minutes to check etc. and if you want out, then get out without whingeing) I think there was something called win-a-dinner similar. I believe it is absolutely fair, and people genuinely win. I could probably cope with the daily emails, and the extreme odds (and the slow loading of page due to the promotions they are offering for click through) but if I hadn't done it for a week a so, you get an email asking you why you have not done it (give reasons) again, easily ignored / move on, but it is a bit like a dripping tap or a blocked drain that you have to clear - it occupies space in your head and your inbox, and if you are not up for that, then you just need to unsubscribe. I do not understand the people that get onto the message boards of these things and say " I haven't won yet and I have been doing this for x weeks" then get loads of (fair) backlash. It is only my opinion, but if I was you @redglobox and you are not feeling the love for it any more, I would unsubscribe, it is a weird waste of your time that you should let go of. HTH x

CJ0374 · 03/05/2024 23:51

I still do pick my postcode- the free one. I recall when I joined it about 4yrs ago, someone at the time won with a £26 bonus- which was the largest bonus which had ever been won at the time apparently! I'm nearing £50 and MIL £40 and joined at a similar time. A friend joined and won about £20 within 2 weeks! Neither MIL nor me have won a thing!

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 03/05/2024 23:54

My bonus is £46.10.

It's free, so if I win one day that's a welcome bonus and that's why I check every day, takes x seconds...

VeganFromSveden · 04/05/2024 01:44

Not won on pick my postcode free lottery, but I did win once on winner dinner...

These are the only two free lottery type sits I know of.... are there any more?

A site I subscribe to is moneymagpie, it's not the same, but lots of sane and (in)sane ways to make money, save money, free (I won a prize!) competitions....

If it's free, then why not "waste" ten mins a day checking to see if your name or postcode etc has been picked?

Oh, I've just remembered another one...
my happy street

Good luck fellow mumsnetters
