That’s my favourite cycle! Although sometimes I try it and they haven’t shoved the sand back on the beach and then it’s “FML”. BCP is quite flat though, no? Or am I delusional?

You'd be surprised, I mean to get from Christchurch to Bournemouth you have to go up either Bell Vue Road/Carbery Avenue or Pokesdown Hill which are quite steep. Christchurch Road from Boscombe to Bournemouth is a bit of a hill to cycle! Then you've got alderhills/poole hill/constitution hill is a 🤬 So basically lots of hills 😆

In Boscombe avoid living in The Crescent, Walpole Road, Churchill Gardens, Palmerston Road area and avoid parts of Springbourne too.
A couple of my friends live round that area which is how I know.

At late night he should just watch himself in the centre of Bournemouth near Horseshoe Common & Lansdowne especially near taxi ranks and basically not take short cuts through the Gardens / by the Beach on his own - but I mean very late at night.

One of my friends loves the social aspect of living in the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth town centre which is near the beach, bars & clubs, restaurants etc.
If not there then I would recommend renting a room in Southbourne near Fisherman's Walk and Southbourne Grove, which is not too far from the stadium; it's near the beach & several pubs, coffee shops.. Plus it's on a quick bus route into town.

The triangle area of Bournemouth is very LGBTQ friendly in particular he should try Flirt cafe by the library as they are very nice in there.

If he’s working for JP Morgan which is located in that part of Bournemouth - they have staff buses - it would be worth him finding out the current routes as an easy means of getting to/from work. They used to have one doing pickups in Boscombe, not sure if they still do/not.
