My dads aged 14 told me he was a couple of months back.
It wasn't a total surprise to learn it, but it was a shock that he just told me and confirmed.
Obviously I accept and love him, whatever.
It took me a while to digest it and he is clear I accept him for however he wants to be and love his life and I'm here whenever he needs me.
He didn't want me to tell anyone, but he has told close friends at school.
He said he's glad he's told me. He hasn't told his dad, we are divorced and coparent.
I think he's been very brave and I'm so proud of him.
This evening I was folding up his clothes and tidying a bit.
Stuffed down a leg of his tracksuit bottoms is a skirt.
I'm not sure if it's his or if he's borrowed it, or how or why it's there. I can guess but I don't know for sure.
I know that I need to also process this and get my head around it so I can support him if he wants me to.
He hasn't told me anything about this, yet.
I would really love to chat with people in similar situations or those who have experience.
It's a world I know nothing about.
I also feel I need to be able to ask some questions and get some support for myself.
Does anyone know where I start please?
