Reporting of Earthquakes in Turkey

I have just seen on tv a man who had been rescued minutes before from a collapsed building. No one else from his family, including his children, survived.
A reporter introduced him like a trophy, a live survivor, still stunned with the dust still on him, then stuck his Mike in his face and asked him how he felt And the poor man wept.
What a bloody stupid question.
There are plenty of people who are compos mantis who can usefully be interviewed This man was unforgiveably intruded upon.

In the UK, people are driving to the place where Nicola Bulley went missing to take photos, especially of the bench, and to search the abandoned houses in spite of police warnings.

This ghoulishness is revolting. Whatever happened to decency?

I don’t get it but it must be what people want to see.

i turned over a news report earlier when they went live to a presenter who said “I have to whisper as they have asked us to be quiet while they listen for signs of life” - well then shut up and leave them to work!
