Just for fun let's pretend there's not a cost of living crisis and you've won some money, £500 or so. What are you going to treat yourself to? All the bills are paid, you've food in the cupboard and petrol in the car etc this is bonus money you never expected to have and don't "need" for day to day expenses. Go wild what are you spending it on? (No I've not won any money and looking for ideas lol I had a dream last night and spent the money on the kids as I've no imagination 😂) oh and one rule it can NOT be spent on a holiday it has to be an item/items

A bell tent.

JackieDaws · 09/02/2023 13:16

A Polenze handbag, and a LK Bennett coat that's on sale.

IceIceBabyBump · 09/02/2023 13:18

Sweat Betty gym clothes
Books
Houseplants
Pots for the houseplants

I'm getting a new kitchen soon so I would go to IKEA and buy new plates, cups, pans etc.

Topbird29 · 09/02/2023 13:54

Bottle of chanel allure, maybe skincare and makeup that is more expensive than no7, or an ipl machine. A bottle of bubbly and pink champagne truffles. Some books. A whole body massage. Randomly, a board to do jigsaws on so can move from the table (the roll up mat doesn't really do it for me!). No probs spending imaginary money!!

A half day spa for me and a friend, a big night out / away for me and DH, new gym clothes, nails and lashes, a box of Waitrose prosecco.

xogossipgirlxo · 09/02/2023 13:59

Nice dress and handbag

romilly31 · 09/02/2023 14:03

I would spend it on a ridiculous spa treatment. There is a salon near me that charges £300 for a 2-therapist "hydromassage". You also get a glass of champagne on arrival.

I'd take it to a russian roulette at a casino. £200 on red, £200 on black, £100 green.

Baccarat Rougue perfume and some posh candles.

purplecorkheart · 09/02/2023 15:13

I want that ysl lipstick printer thing. Saw someone test it out on youtube.

Get a sheet of wood from B&Q. Boring but works beautifully.

I'd put it towards reupholstering a threadbare sofa I love and don't want to part with.

Zippedydoo123 · 09/02/2023 15:21

I would go and get my annual dermal fillers done by my beautician then reintroduce monthly pedicures and backrubs. I receive absolutely no pampering right now bar a weekly bath! Helps the aches and pains. Never had it so hard and grim.

35andThriving · 09/02/2023 22:56

A gorgeous bespoke dress and a necklace.

I'd also like to go to an antique sale and buy something wonderful, that I didn't know I wanted 'til I saw it

Topbird29 · 10/02/2023 09:54

@JustFrustrated - might be the best way forward!

LadyPoison · 10/02/2023 10:40

3mm x 2mm D shaped gold wire!

MonicaFree · 10/02/2023 10:43

I’d book dinner somewhere fabulous, probably and restaurant with rooms and stay overnight.

There would be no money left over but if there was I’d buy a small box of Fortnums chocolate truffles.
