My elderly Uncle and Auntie moved in November. Because of the proximity to xmas/getting themselves straight and my Uncle not being well we haven't been on our usual annual trip which normally is an xmas celebration. My Uncle is now in and out of hospital, has a care team coming in four times a day but is mentally sound.
Anyway, have an agreed date to drive up and see Auntie (and hopefully Uncle if up to seeing us) this weekend. In normal circumstances I'd have taken a house warming present. Would also like to take a little something for my Uncle as probably last time we'll see him (he hasn't been able to stomach alcohol or chocolate for a few years). Any ideas? Not 100% I'll get into town before then, but supermarket local.
We'll go armed with wine as my Auntie likes a drink and her DS and DDIL are ordering a takeaway.
