Does anyone own a Fiat 500 Dualogic Automatic Car?

DD is looking at one of these (she needs an auto) but research online is showing common problems with the gearbox failing.

Shes looking to buy secondhand up to about 10 year old.

Does anyone have one and can you let us know what it’s like? Any problems?

I had a convertible one before I switched to the Fiat EV. It never gave me a day of bother and I adored driving it. Took it on long road trips and it was v efficient on petrol. It was my first car (65 reg, so can’t comment on that’s 10 years old). Worth a look on the Fiat forum.

Thanks, the Fiat forum is throwing up a lot of threads about the dualogic semi auto gearbox being problematic after a few years. She’s got her heart set in one but I don’t want her making a costly mistake

I had one from new, and I never had any serious problems with it but I traded it in after about four years because
I was starting not to trust it.
It would occasionally stall for no apparent reason and I heard about other people having problems.
Plus my DC grew too tall to fit comfortably in the back.
