Is it now compulsory for all secondary school children to have a black North Face jacket?

North face Ninjas with obligatory balaclava around here

IggyAce · 06/02/2023 21:34

Secondary school kids wear jackets?! Majority round here mine included don’t, perhaps they would if it was North Face.

mumofthemonsters808 · 06/02/2023 21:45

It appears so, it really is a popular brand, The majority of boys in my Sons year wear it. It’s not cheap but mine gets a hell of a lot of use out of the light waterproof jacket.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 06/02/2023 21:46

Nope, my daughter is currently obsessed with her long black wool coat (that she thinks makes her look like Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock 🤣) which cost me £7 in Primark! Not all kids care about labels.

KindergartenKop · 06/02/2023 21:47

I know a teenager with a lovely green one, she looks cool 😎

SaintJac · 06/02/2023 21:48

Yes. It’s north face or no jacket (and the school jumper under the blazer is not allowed, not even if it’s sub zero)

LeapingCat · 06/02/2023 21:49

I noticed all the students around here have them.

DrDinosaur · 06/02/2023 21:50

The teen boy here and all his friends, and about 99% of boys in our town wear black North Face jackets and have skin fades.
I’m hoping it’s a phase.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 06/02/2023 21:51

My dog walking jacket is a north face puffa 😭 I'm dressing like a teenager.

RandomMess · 06/02/2023 21:52

I was gifted a 2nd hand one from my friend. DD adopted it and it is utterly treasured.

I remember my youth when I had to wear NF and it really wasn't fashionable...

declutteringmymind · 06/02/2023 21:53

Mine does, and he is not at all bothered about labels etc. I bought it for him as they are actually good quality. My own Arctic parka has seen me through 6 winters and it's almost good as new. I got DS's in the half price sale, and will last him and his brother before going on EBay.
