Can you remember the old cinema promo?

80s / 90s perhaps.

And in text form it kind of went

Bam bam

buh bam... bam bam bam

Buh bam .. bam bam bam..

It played before movies I saw but I can't remember what the promo or ad was for.

Well I've posted the video after listening to it several times and I am sorry to say that I stand firm on my bams. It is a hill inam willing to die on.

Dang. Was meant to say the music according to Wikipedia:

"Pearl & Dean is known for its distinctive theme tune entitled "Asteroid", composed in 1968 by Pete Moore, which can be heard on the Pearl & Dean website"

Pearl and Dean as others have said. Still around but most cinemas seem to use DCM for their advertising now.

I don't remember the national anthem being played, but my dad used to drag me home as soon as the credits started.

I do remember the lobby area.being full of smoke and people drinking. Then intermission the lobby would be packed with smokers and drinkers..dad would have half a bitter and a red band and I'd have a choc ice or minstrels. Then a bell would ring and everyone crushed through the doors for the second half of the film. Random memories.

how funny - I’d always hear it as dah dah dah 🤣 but we landed on the same answer!

im pretty sure it’s an advertising agency so it was pre the adverts and trailers?
