What is your escape daydream?

My chuck it all and escape plan is to buy a yacht and go sailing, no where fancy just around the UK and maybe over to Norway, don’t fancy a long Atlantic passage.

I have even picked out the boat I would get, a Sirius 35 - big enough for 2to live aboard in comfort but small enough for easy manoeuvring.

What are your plans/daydreams and how detailed are they?

Oh great thread idea. I want a yacht and an uninhabited Pacific island and I want to sail all around the world slowly before I get there. I think I'd want at least a 50-footer on the yacht as we've two young'uns and bigger craft are stabler to handle especially when tacking or in choppy waters and less likely to make me seasick IME.
We'll go to Fiji with a sheep and a cow and we'll breed horses

Oh I’m ditching the kids! Only a year until the youngest finishes Alevels and then I can fly away!

I’m retired but my husband isn’t.

I envisage when he does, us living on an island full of dogs -

Oh yes 🙌 I'm partial to a nice wee day dream in my pretend villa in Marbella ( with my perfect body ) showcasing my wardrobe of spectacular swimwear as I sip cocktails in the glorious heat . I often think about this when I'm up to the eyeballs in paperwork and invoices 😫

Mine is DP is still alive and we’re living where we were planning to build. Christmas and birthdays I still meticulously plan our birthday treat trips. Been to a lot of great locations in my daydreams.

Writing a book on the balcony of my villa in Ibiza watching the amazing sunset . Also lots of dogs (and DP of course)

Canal boat.

I have an apartment in Manhattan. I spend my days mooching around museums, the park and shopping. Evenings I sit in my floor to ceiling window reading and looking out at the lights of the city.

I can easily waste hours on Zillow picking out my dream apartment.

Glad I am not only who enjoys a good daydream. It keeps me going on those long days.

Flat in Bloomsbury with 2 large bedrooms, 2 large reception rooms and a study and a west facing balcony, extremely good relationships and frequent visits from DD, DS and DH - but not having to live with them. Utter fantasy!

Endless peace and quiet
Cats

Dogs + Dh + log cabin in 100 acres with log burners and enough supplies to last six months of being snowed in. Then six months in our camper van for culture, city breaks and seaside.

Running off into the mountains with a hunky mountain King!
