Hair Extensions For Thin Hair

I have never had more than a hair cut but am after extensions to thicken my hair after hair loss due to illness , the loss has now stabilised. So having looked online I had no idea there were so many alternatives and more than one type of extension. Just after any advice especially from anyone who has had them done. I also have allergies so not wanting to risk the glue in type.
