Don't really know why I'm doubting myself so I thought I'd ask you lovely people and put my mind at rest.

I know a family. It's just mom and daughter. The daughter is 14. Mom is not the brightest to say the least. It's come to light that the girls boyfriend who's 17 has moved into their home. And shares a bed with the 14 girl.

I've spoken to the mom and she's confirmed he does now live with them and shares the girls bed. but stupidly thinks they wouldn't get up to anything.

The mom is honestly just really daft. Seems off her face every time I see her.

I'm contacting ss today. I'm not being daft am I?

Report 😞

crimsonpeak · 06/02/2023 14:00

Please report this.

Merryweather80 · 06/02/2023 14:11

Yes, report. For multiple reasons. Rape and the mother inability to parent and know the law. Sounds like both mother and daughter need help.

Thanks everyone. I've just come off the phone to nspcc who've taken all the info and will pass it on to the right social service department and put my mind at rest. It's so sad to hear this girl isn't being protected at all by her mom

Thank you. I hope they believe they get the help they both need.
