Driving

A question for you all. How much driving do you do for your children?

My son is attending tertiary education about 50 miles away.
He attends two days a week.

One day I spend the day in the town with my other child and the other I just drop off and pick up so 100 mile round trip twice in the second day.

So all up 300 miles in two days.
There is no public transport whatsoever as it is regional.
I find it hard. Would others do this?

There is no way around it and I want him to do this course as he loves it but geez it's a lot.

How much do you drive?

I would do it if there was no other option. How long is the course? The way I see it, it won't be forever.

I'm not in your situation as although my eldest is at college quite a way away, he can get the train and has a student railcard.

I know it's hard but you're doing a really great thing for your son.

Thank you. It's just a year fortunately. I know it's not forever but some days I think my goodness.
I really thought this year was going to be easier until the college announced the days and location!
Really hoping he passes his driving test in July.

Oh that will help, is that when his test is booked for? My eldest is learning to drive too, he will be taking his test at around the same time.

That's great it's only a year. It's gruelling but you can do it!
