School trip - how much spending money for 2 nights in london?

I have no idea how much to give DC(16) for his upcoming school trip to London next month. He is going for two nights, food and accommodation paid for.

How much would you say is a fair amount?

Enough to buy drinks, snacks etc I suppose, won't need much

What are they doing?

I think £30

Usually the school will advise if spending money is needed?

Are they going shopping? I would say £100 transferred into their account (don’t give cash, everywhere takes card and is often preferred), then they can transfer back what they don’t spend but will have enough for any emergency.

No info has been given regarding spending money. I know they are going to the theatre, then they are being given free time to go shopping.

Good idea regarding card over cash. Hadn’t thought of that.
