Surviving in todays work environment

How do people make it work at organisations where you’re overwhelmed with the amount of work to do, and see no sign of it getting better?
I work at two huge organisations (consultancy/client), and on both sides things are absolutely f**ked.
Systems don’t work, no leadership, self serving everywhere.
And it seems normal now.
So my question is, how do you make it work?
I see people who are able to, on the surface, appear to focus on shining with a few things and ‘get away with’ leaving the rest to fail.
I just can’t seem to do it.
I think I’m not cut out for working any more.
ps I’m quite old now lol

Most people have a work ethic. Your employer is not there to make you happy. Just get on with it, or move jobs.
