Ikea show rooms look great but really would you have all that stuff in your home!

Went to ikea today it was absolutely madness so so busy with people so not enjoyable to be there but anyway as we was walking around the showrooms it's got me thinking.
The amount of stuff they have on display though it makes the rooms look great and cosy in the shop - example numerous pictures, wall shelfs, pictures, candles , fake flowers , storage units on the walls, coffee tables, hooks, memo boards, I could go on and on ! Realistically in real life could you cope with all the clutter and stuff in your home I definitely couldn't!

I feel totally overwhelmed by it all. And now im going through my home thinking this is cluttered and thats cluttered

I prefer maximilism as a decor style over minimalism. I love clutter and displaying all the things I love makes me happy. I'm also the sort of person who if she puts something away will forget about it forever so it helps to have it on display.

The rooms are used to show how people use various items. I doubt anyone identically replicates something!

I dunno. I'm lying on my sofa with pictures up, a candle on most side tables, fake flowers on the dining table behind me with some decorative bits, a book case and a set of wall shelves with books and photos on etc. I think a room would feel very bare without those things (not the flowers necessarily, but touches of decor)

Ikea looks like a tidier version of my home. I love 'stuff' I have lots of photos and plants and crockery and displays out and lots of the nicer children's toys downstairs.

My house is full of things I find beautiful and relaxing.To others it may be clutter , but I love it .
