They do look hazel. Are your eyes usually a different colour? As weirdly I looked at mine in the mirror this morning and rather than them being dark brown like usual they look greeny/hazely!

My family member's are warmer and more brown and his are hazel.

The brown ring means they’re hazel and not green

Green Hazel (as apposed to brown hazel or amber hazel or grey hazel).
I had a sprinkling of family members will various versions of hazel - very attractive.

All the brown ring means is a brown ring on green eyes, it doesn't make it a different colour.
