Now we are older, my friend and I don't see each other as often as we'd like because we live quite a distance apart.
When we do see each other there is always an argument about who is going to pay the restaurant bill, as we both want to. It gets embarrassing for the waiting staff!
She will go to the toilet and pay and has also left her credit card when we've arrived. She's even phoned through to the restaurant in advance to ensure she pays!
Last time I said let's split it and then we will both be happy. She's having none of it.
She's not patronising or showing off. It makes her happy to pay for me but I want to pay for her too!
It's a lovely problem to have I suppose!
