Love it or list it - same family in the adverts.

Sorry if someone else pointed this out already . I did search.

Theres a family on “Love it or List it”. A family home that isn’t working, with Phil and Kirstie walking round.
It’s on Channel 4 so there’s adverts. Blow me down if the whole family aren’t in one if the adverts! Properly the whole lot of them as paid actors in a commercial.

Part of me thinks the family are attention seeking twats.
Part of me thinks the advertising company has done this on purpose so muppets like me talk about it.
Part of me thinks it just shows I watch shit on TV and I shouldn’t expect more.

I don't understand this at all. They are actors, how are they more attention seeking than anyone else in that job? There are loads of people who make a living (or part of one) doing advert, extra work and reality TV.

Are you saying you thought reality TV is real and didn't realise it's scripted (albeit not as tightly) and most of the people in it are actors (albeit not always full time)?

Why? Just because they're actors doesn't mean they don't qualify for the programme. Sounds like the advertisers just saw an opportunity & used it

Attention seeking twats?

What a weird and rather horrible thing to say. They seemed like a lovely family.

I saw that and thought the same. She was an actress wasn’t she so good product placement.

Arrrrrrragghhh · 04/02/2023 20:56

Yes but actors normally declare their profession? I didn’t hear them say that’s what they did for a living. He said he was in media. Maybe I missed it. Especially when the programme is all how does the house work for you. Normally peoples work is a major factor.
It seems disingenuous.

However I’ve seen this was already in the Daily Mail. Sarah is also the main Meghan Markle look alike. I think had they said that that this was their livelihood it would be fine. It’s just pretending the main reason they are in is exposure.

Sorry, should have had a comma there.

I agree they seem a nice family. But clearly they are after more TV opportunities rather than a new home. So who knows if they are or if it’s all for the cameras. I just find it tedious.

She did say she was an actress

typopro · 05/02/2023 08:32

I thought it was a bit odd as well. We had to rewind it a few times to check. Then we wondered if the show was faked with actors

DarkNecessities · 10/02/2023 06:07

She really does look like Meghan M.
He’s no Harry though 😂

They made no decision either way...they were probably just trying to raise their profile.
I noticed people pointing it out to her on twitter.
