Pocket money - older primary school

Hi all, interested to hear what pocket money you guys give/gave to older primary school aged kids and do they have to do anything to earn it? I have done a quid a week for cleaning your bedroom with mine forever but feel I am much too stingy now they aspire to more than a packet of sweets and they often just don’t bother😬

£4 a week, they're expected to use it to buy close family presents when required. I don't buy so many sweets and treats any more. They also take their own money if they need spending money for e.g. a school trip.
