Fast track passport appointments

Does anyone know - when you have a fast track passport appointment, do you have to leave your supporting documents there, or do they check them while you’re there and you can take them away?

Anyone know? It’s the one week fast track application.

My other half did this last week. They keep the old passports if you are renewing. But these were sent back within the week. Very easy process and the new passports came through within four days. HTH.

It’s been a few years since I was at a passport appointment, but I think I remember it for me and others in the line :

Old passport handed over and returned later by post
Other documents were looked at, copied and handed back

They keep them but send them back afterwards, separate from the passport. I think the docs come back by post but the passport by courier.
