Inspred by another thread but not about it

I stopped buying helium balloons about 5/6 years ago based off reading on here about how it's a finite resource etc

But if it is so bad for environment why isnt it illegal to have helium balloons?
Or otherwise unpopular
We managed to make plastic straws rare overnight

Me too. I was shocked when I discovered helium is going to run out and then a lot of necessary applications will be stuffed.

I wish it were illegal to have helium balloons , but our government is shit
